Im000094.jpg (12581 bytes)

This picture was taken by Bob Hickerson of Bear, Delaware. Bob writes, "This is off Red Pump Road at the Maryland/Pennsylvania border near the town of Rising Sun, Maryland. The TV stations lent their name to traffic safety activity in the area and this was no exception. The only problem is that there is no WFIL-TV anymore. The place where "American Bandstand" originated was bought by Capital Cities Communications and renamed it WPVI (Philadelphia-6). Later ABC merged with Capital Cities and later Disney bought out ABC. But the sign still stands."
